The Gleam toolchain can be compiled with Cargo, Rust's build tool. Install the most recent stable version of Rust and Git for Windows before continuing.
The Rust installer may prompt you to install the Visual Studio C++ Build Tools, which provide the linker needed to compile Gleam.
Clone the Gleam source code repository at the version you want. The
core.longpaths option allows Git to check out the repository's long file
paths on Windows.
git -c core.longpaths=true clone --depth 1 --branch v1.14.0 https://github.com/gleam-lang/gleam.git
cd gleam
Compile and install Gleam.
cargo install --path gleam-bin --force --locked
